And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. [Daniel 12:2-3]
Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. [Hebrews 9:27-28] NIV.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. [Revelation 1:5-7] KJV.
The book of Genesis chapter 1 shows the wisdom, love and power of God in creation. From verse 1 to the end, we see God’s sovereignty and the authority of His eternal Word, creating light out of darkness and orderliness from the chaos and formless earth. Each day of creation from days 1 to 6 reveals the divine purpose of God Almighty, showing us that the lives we live in this world should be intentional and meaningful. Being made in God’s image confirms what we worth in his sight, and we are called as believers in Christ to show forth His character in truth, faithfulness and righteousness. The chapter also teaches us the importance of resting in His Presence, stewardship in His service, and trusting in His perfect provision. It assures us that no matter how dark or uncertain life may seems, God’s light and plan will always prevail.
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. [1 John 1:3 NIV].
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. [Acts 2:42 NIV].
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. [Acts 2:46-47 NIV].
Revelation 22 reveals to us the vision of the new heaven and the new earth which the Angel showed Apostle John. A revelation of the things which must come to be – the river of life flows out of the throne of God. and the tree of life bears the fruit for the healing of nations. This is God’s glorious promise of eternal life to those who come to Him through Christ His Son.
Resurrection means raising someone from the dead. Jesus Christ taught the doctrine of resurrection to His disciples, and followers. The disciples and indeed the public saw this miracle with Jesus when He raised Lazarus from the dead.
